Hello my name is Kanav! I am a 16 year old starting Grade 11 and I will be one of your Historical Joint Crisis Committee Deputy Chairs. I am highly experienced with Model United Nations, as this conference marks my 15th. I also have strong experience with the Historical Joint Crisis Committee, as this will be the 5th time I join. Over the last 5 years of MUN, I’ve grown attachedto this committee, perhaps because of the uncertainty and creative liberty delegates and chairs get. I’ve won my first few MUN awards in HJCC, and TMUN (last year it was “CENTMUN” to commemorate 100 years of Tanglin Trust School) has paid a major part in that. Last year’s HJCC at Tanglin was an incredibly memorable experience that ending with Bangladesh becoming the Asian superpower. HJCC allows us to make such unexpected narratives, and this year I will make sure to guide delegates in their paths to reshaping the world.

Hi! My name is Pradyun, and I am a G12 student at North London Collegiate School. I’ve been a part of my school’s MUN programme since Grade 9, and in that time I’ve attended 15 conferences exploring a variety of themes such as crises, crises and more crises. The thrill of high-stake action and strategic decision-making is certainly what appeals to me the most of HJCC, and I hope that you find the same joy out of the committee too. I am thrilled to be serving as Head Chair of the Historical Joint Crisis Committee this November, and look forward to seeing you then.

Hello, my name is Jet, currently a G12 student studying at the North London Collegiate School Singapore. I first participated in MUN during the 7th Grade, and since then have appreciated its engaging discussions and debates. As an avid historian, I believe HJCC provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore niche historical political issues, and the current topic of HJCC this year encapsulates that notion entirely. I look forward to fostering lively debate and meeting with you all this November.
