Hi! My name is Lac Nghi and I’m a 16 year old currently studying at the International French School of Singapore. Honored to be serving as the deputy chair for HRC, I look forward to guiding and mediating you through MUN procedures and the exciting debates that are to come! In this committee, you will tackle, address and prevent existing policies regarding human rights violations. In particular, the reinforcement of freedom of expression and mitigation of state censorship remains a pressing concern in the spectre of human rights requiring an exterior birds-eye view in order to come up with a well-rounded solution. I can’t wait to meet you all!

Hi! My name is Megan and I’m an 11th grade student at IFS. I’m looking forward to serving as your Head Chair for HRC. Through attending 10 conferences both in Singapore and the Netherlands, I’ve had the honor of debating with delegates of diverse ideas and personalities. I’m excited to chair such an important committee as reaffirming our rights as individuals and resolving conflict collectively has never been more pressing. The human rights situation in Ghana remains complex, censorship around the world hinders freedom of expression and concerns surrounding NGOs must raise dialogue.
ln creating a welcoming environment for productive debate, I have no doubt we’ll make TMUN a successful experience. See you in November!

Hello, my name is Lucy and I’m a student at the German European School Singapore (GESS). I believe that HRC is incredibly important due to the causes it advocates for, with equality as the forefront. With the increasing polarization of our politics, our future depends on recognizing the strengths in our humanity and problem-solving. As the deputy chair of HRC, I think the issues that this committee addresses are more relevant than ever, and I look forward to seeing you in November!
