Hello, my name is Maxton Shenoy from the International French School Singapore (IFS). As a 16 year old junior, I have participated in a multitude of MUN conferences both within Singapore as well as abroad, as a delegate and chair; I have extensive experience in procedure and resolution writing. I am honored to be your deputy chair for the UNESCO committee at this year’s TMUN. I look forward to guiding first timers, and more experienced delegates through fruitful discussions surrounding cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, as well as the underrepresentation of women in cultural heritage.
Hello, my name is Shaurya, and I’m 15 and currently studying at the United World College of South East Asia (East Campus). My participation in MUN has allowed me to attend 16 conferences, explore committees and work with other delegates to make decisive and constructive resolutions. I am excited about my role in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation for its role in maintaining and fostering global culture, heritage and societal development as a whole. The complex issues present interesting dilemmas between progress and cultural heritage to delegates, challenging them to choose or compromise and collaborate to ensure satisfying solutions to pressing issues. That being said, I am honoured to be the Head Chair of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation at TMUN25. I look forward to meeting all of you in November!
Hi everyone, my name is Janani and I’m currently a student at Tanglin Trust School. Having participated in MUN for over five years, I have had the privilege of engaging in a wide range of debates on a multitude of topics to form effective and robust resolutions. In today’s age of digital globalisation, where cultural heritage faces unprecedented threats, but also unique opportunities for preservation and revitalisation, it is vital to delve into these discussions and safeguard our heritage for future generations. I am looking forward to being the Deputy Chair of UNESCO and seeing you guys soon at the conference.
